Two-day street book fair concludes in Dir

LOWER DIR: A two-day street book fair arranged by the district administration in collaboration with the district youth affairs department, National Book Foundation and Timergara tehsil municipal administration, concluded here the other day. The additional assistant commissioner Hazrat Bilal along with other officials visited the book fair and appreciated the visitors on the occasion.

He said that no one could deny the importance of books and its reading. They asked the visitors to make books-reading as their hobby instead of wasting their time on social media and the internet. District youth officer Shehzad Tariq told local journalists that hundreds of books’ lovers visited the book fair and more than 1000 books were sold to them at 50 per cent discount rates. He said the youth affairs department would continue its struggle for motivating local youths and students toward positive and fruitful activities. He also lauded the efforts of district administration and the National Book Foundation for facilitating his department in arranging a historical event in the district.
