UN slams Gwadar terrorist attack

UNITED NATIONS: The United Nations condemned the terrorists attack targeting a five-star hotel in the port city of Gwadar.

“We deplore all such attacks and reiterate that there can be no justification for terrorist acts,” Farhan Haq, UN deputy spokesman, said in a statement.

Three heavily-armed militants on Saturday stormed the PC Hotel in Gwadar and opened random firing, killing a guard, before all the attackers were killed by the security forces.

Also, Prime Minister Imran Khan Sunday condemned the terrorists attack targeting Pearl Continental Hotel in Gwadar.

Appreciating the initial response by security guards and security forces in foiling greater loss to human lives, the prime minister paid rich tributes to the martyred and injured security personnel during the ongoing operation.

“Such attempts especially in Balochistan are an effort to sabotage our economic projects and prosperity.” he resolved.
