KABUL: US military officials confirmed that one US soldier was killed and another injured during a combat operation in Afghanistan.
The US Commander of US forces in Afghanistan, General John Nicholson has said that NATO forces along with brave troops of Afghanistan will continue their fight against those who are destroying the peace of the country.
US military issued a statement and it stated that the injured US personnel are in stable condition.
Earlier on Monday, eight Romanian soldiers were injured in a car bomb in southern Kandahar province.
In the meantime, local officials said that at least 11 students were killed and 16 other people, including eight Romanian soldiers, were wounded in the car bombing in Daman district of the province.
