Worth consideration advice

A senior PML-Q leader and Federal Minister for Housing and Works Tariq Bashir Cheema has urged the leadership of PTI to refrain from implementing policies that add to the miseries of masses. He claimed that his party agreement with ruling party as coalition partner envisaged giving priority to the weal and welfare of the masses. Tariq Bashir Cheema told media persons at Sailkot that there could be no breakthrough in talks with the ruling party until it honours the agreement it made with PML-Q to be its coalition partner. He enumerated the policy decisions that have whipped galloping inflation to the record 12 years high, increasing unemployment at an alarming rate because of shrinking industrial base and frequent increases in the gas and electricity prices.

The decisions taken on the advice of self-serving advisors and the ones who remain on the pay roll of global donor agencies have made the life of common man more miserable. The contention of senior PML-Q leader in the capacity of federal minister is correct that wrong decisions of the ruling party will certainly sink the boat in which the coalition partners are sailing with it. He clarified that his party is not part of the wrong decisions that are being made.

High price spiral, shortages of basic food commodity such as wheat has dinted the popularity graph of the ruling party. Important minsters of the federal cabinet were well aware of steep fall in the production of wheat in June last year but even then Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet had approved the export of wheat flour. These issues are likely to be agitated by the PPP, JUI (F) and other opposition parties in their protest which tentatively planned for March.
