ZAB anniversary observed in Dir

TIMERGARA: The 40th anniversary of Late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was also observed in Lower Dir. A function in the regard was held at the Chakdara fishing hut with PPP district president Mehmood Zeb in the chair. Party workers from all parts of the district attended the function. The participants offered fateha for all martyrs of the party and chanted slogans in favor of party leadership.

Former provincial ministers Bakht Baidar Khan, Mehmood Zeb, PPP district senior vice president Tahir Khan, Ashfaq Bacha, Sher Muhammad and others addressed the gathering. The speakers paid rich tributes to Bhuttos and said that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Binazir Bhutto and Murtaza Bhutto laid their lives for democracy and rule of law.

They said the PPP martyred leadership refused to bow before the then dictators. The speakers said that it was the PPP that always fought for restoring democracy. They said that ZAB gave recognition to the country and the Muslim Ummah. They said the PPP would still fight for rights of poor people and would never compromise on its principles. They asked party workers to be united and convey message of the party to every nook and corner of the district.
