97 million registered voters in Pakistan: ECP

ISLAMABAD: The total number of voters in Pakistan has reached to 97.02 million including 54.4 male and 42.2 female voters, Election Commission of Commission of Pakistan (ECP) said.

ECP shared the data of registered voters and out of total numbers 55.8 million voters were from Punjab, 26.45 million voters were from Sindh, 14.5 million voters from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 3.7 million voters from Balochistan, 2.14 million voters from FATA and 0.69 million voters from the federal capital.

In the 2013 general election 86 million while it is expected to be increased to cross the limit of 100 million figure before the 2018 general elections.

ECP shared that the total 14.6 million voters were between the ages of 18 to 25 years, 27. 6 million voters were between the ages of 26 to 35 years; 20. 37 million voters were between the ages of 36 to 45 years; 14.8 million voters were between ages of 46 to 55 years; and 9.8 million voters between the ages of 56 to 65, while 9.5 million voters were above ages of 65 million.
