Lahore Qalandar appoints Aqib Javed as head coach

LAHORE: Lahore Qalandar, franchise of Pakistan Super League (PSL) announced former fast bowler Aqib Javed as the new head coach and Fakhar Zaman as the vice captain of the team in the upcoming PSL-3.

While talking to media owner of Lahore Qalandars, Rana Fawad announced the new changes in the team and adding that Aqib Javed will remain director of cricket operations at the franchise alongside his new responsibility as the head coach of the team.

On the decision to name Fakhar Zaman as the vice captain, Fawad said the young batsman will get to learn a lot under the captainship of former New Zealand star Brendon McCullum.
