PML-N lawmakers receiving ‘anonymous phone calls’: Rana Sana

LAHORE (APP): Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said on Thursday that PML-N lawmakers were receiving anonymous phone calls in which they were being told not to attend the upcoming National Assembly session.

Speaking to a private television channel, Rana Sanaullah said that this whole practice of phone calls being received from ‘unknown caller ID’ should be abolished.

“Our people keep telling us that they are receiving calls from unknown numbers telling them not to attend the upcoming assembly session,” he said.

“Rana Sanaullah discussed the recent MQM-PSP alliance and its fallout during the interview as well.

“Now imagine if I had said something that Mustafa Kamal or Farooq Sattar said,” he stated. “There would be immense pressure on my government to fire me,” he added. Rana Sanaullah said that the questions being asked by Mustafa Kamal and Farooq Sattar should be answered.

The Punjab law minister also termed the whole Panama Papers and Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification as a ‘drama’, stating that the final nail in the coffin for the entire episode would be Sharif’s arrest.

“If they arrest Nawaz Sharif, PML-N will gain the two-third majority in the next election,” he said.
