15th NA passed bills record totally disordered

ISLAMABAD (INP): The bills passed by the 15th National Assembly (NA) has become a mystery for many as the record unveiled by the Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) regarding National Assembly passed bills has great difference with NA’s record appeared on website .
The record of National Assembly not even match by its own record and on the other hand National Assembly related department high-ups given confusions justifications. How many bills were passed by the 15th National Assembly became a mystery, the difference between the records of Fafan and the National Assembly has great difference.
On inquire the concerned Law department affirmed that their record was absolutely correct and advised the journalists to collect information form website and totally refused to provide related date. Related journalists even mentioned the names of the bills presented and passed in the National Assembly along with the dates and questioned where these bills are on the website. On this they replayed, “We will place these bills on the website soon”.
According to the information gathered by this News Agency and FAFAN the 15th National Assembly has passed a total 322 bills, of which 223 were government bills and 99 were private members’ bills, while the National Assembly Secretariat’s law department presented to the journalist on two pages, one page of which was presented by private members in five years. The number of bills passed was given on the second page of the bills presented by the government in the National Assembly and the number of bills passed. Accordingly, in five years, the National Assembly passed a total of 267 bills, out of which 199 were government bills and 68 were private members’ bills. The secretariat does not have an authentic record of how many bills were passed in the National Assembly and even on inquire they are totally confused in this respect.
When a journalist asked question to the high-ups of above mentioned department of the NA regarding the different between records, in replay he totally mum and given confused answers. ‘Reporter questioned, “That there is a world of difference between the record of Fafan and the National Assembly. According to Fafan, more bills have been passed, while the record you are giving few of them have been passed. Even your website does not have complete data’.
The journalist even asked the authorities of the legislative department of the National Assembly for an authentic record in this respect. The officials of the NA legislation Department replied, “You are challenging our record, all the data is available on the website and it is complete. It has been made and this list has been given to Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf’. On this a journalist gave the name of a bill as evidence and said “where in your record is it that this bill was presented and passed in the National Assembly, after which the journalist was advised to go to the research wing and said that we have included this bill in our record’.
