ISLAMABAD: During the ongoing crackdown against gas pilferers, SNGPL continued raids in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad, disconnecting another 166 connections while imposing fine of Rs. 8.973 million and 212 under billing cases processed.
In Lahore, the regional team disconnected 17 connections on illegal use of gas and another 1 on use of compressor, 4 Under billing cases have been processed and amount of Rs 6.07 booked against gas theives and under billing cases.
The team also lodged one FIR against gas theives.In Bahawalpur, the regional team disconnected five connections on use of compressor . The company disconnected 15 connections on illegal use of gas while another three on use of compressor,130 Under billing cases have been processed and fine of Rs 0.28 Million imposed against gas pilferers in Multan. In Sheikhupura, 17 on illegal use of gas while one on use of compressor were disconnected by the region and 30 Under billing cases have been processed, amount of Rs 0.3booked against gas theives and Under billing cases.
In Peshawar, the company disconnected 60 connections on account of direct use of gas and illegal connections.
The regional team also lodged 4 FIRs against gas thieves. The team also imposed fine of Rs 1.79 against gas theives.In Rawalpindi the regional team disconnected 25 gas connections and 13 Under billing cases have been processed .The team also lodged 2FIRs against gas thieves .In Mardan Five connections were disconnected against illegal use of gas while imposing fine of Rs 0.12million. In Sialkot, the team imposed fine of Rs 0.093 against gas pilferes . The regional team in Gujranwala 17 under billing cases processed and 3 meters were disconnected on the use of compressor and 1 on illegal use of gas. The region also imposed fine of Rs. 0.21 million on gas theft and under billing cases.
The company disconnected 08 connections on illegal use of gas in Islamabad. In Sahiwal, three connections were disconnected on illegal use of gas. The regional team in Faisalabad 18 under billing cases processed and 1 disconnected on illegal use of gas. Fine of Rs. 0.11 million was also imposed against gas pilferers and also lodged 0ne FIR against gas theives. The Regional team in Abbottabad also disconnected 01 connection on illegal use of gas.
