AD&SJ orders action against SP in abduction

PESHAWAR: Additional District and Session Judge (AD&SJ) Peshawar Bakht Alam ordered police high-ups to initiate legal proceedings against both parties including Superintendent of Police (SP) Training Branch Shakeel Khan along with gunman Masood and driver named Mudassir as respondents for torturing and abduction of retired Sub Inspector as the petitioner, on Thursday.

The counsel argued that SP Training Branch Central Police Office (CPO) Shakeel Khan along with gunman Masood and driver Mudassir abducted and tortured retired Sub Inspector police named Malak Zada Khan while returning from Session Court’s Peshawar.

The counsel further added that respondents including SP Shakeel Khan along with driver and gunman forcibly obtain thumb impression on vacant stamp-paper as well as recorded video from him. He added that the respondents also snatched Rs1 lac 10 thousand from petitioner and produced evidences against SP Shakeel Khan, Masood and Mudassir before the court.

The counsel argued that court ordered police high-ups for legal actions against SP Shakeel Khan along with driver Mudassir and gunman Masood.

However, the respondents lawyer argued that retired Sub Inspector Malik Zada Khan along with friends attacked house of SP Shakeel Khan while report had registered at local police station in this regard.

AD&SJ Peshawar Bakht Alam ordered police high-ups to initiate legal proceedings against both parties including retired Sub Inspector and SP Shakeel along with driver and gunman after conclusion of arguments in 22A plea.
