DUBAI: Umar Gul, the bowling coach for Afghanistan, stated that the management has prepared a strategy against Pakistan skipper Babar Azam and that the plan works out well for them.
Prior to Afghanistan’s approaching Asia Cup Super-Four match against Pakistan, bowling coach Umar spoke at the pre-match press conference and voiced his optimism that the team’s approach against top-ranked T20I batsman Babar will be successful.
“Babar and Rizwan are world class batters. Undoubtedly, we have prepared as professionally for them as we do for the other teams. So it goes without saying that we are hopeful that our players can carry out such strategies in their favour,” stated Umar Gul.
Umar complimented Naseem’s Pakistan Super League (PSL) performance and described it as a pivotal moment in his career in response to a question about the Pakistani young pacer Naseem Shah, who stunned the cricketing world with his outstanding performance in the ongoing Asia Cup.
The way Naseem performed in the most recent PSL was magnificent, and you could say it was a defining moment for his international career because he made his first appearance in both white-ball cricket and T20 cricket, according to Umar. “I have worked with Naseem for two years during my coaching tenure for Quetta Gladiators,” Umar said.
“In my opinion, he has made progress both physically and in terms of his cricketing abilities. He is undoubtedly a quality bowler and a benefit to Pakistan, therefore I wish him well in the future. He is becoming more responsible as well as getting better every day, the speaker continued.
The former Pakistan bowler then stated his wish to see a decent cricket match between the two teams and his hope that a large audience will attend the crucial match.
