Afghan nationals held rally in support of Pak Army in Dir

TIMERGARA:  In a rare move, for the first time hundreds of Afghan refugees living in refugee camps in Lower Dir on Friday held a rally here to express solidarity with Pakistanis against the Indian aggression and in support of Pakistan army.

Local residents also supported the Afghan refugees’ protest. The participants were carrying banners and Pakistan’s national flags. Leaders of the Afghan refugees while speaking on the occasion announced full support to Pakistanis against India. They said that Pakistan was an Islamic brethren and neighbouring country that had served them for decades. They said the Afghan refugees were grateful to Pakistan and its people for behaving like brothers with them. They said the Afghan nationals would fight along side by side with Pakistan army if India attacked Pakistan.

The Lower Dir elders thanked the Afghan nationals for their support and solidarity. Also in the day the series of anti-Indian rallies under the auspices of Pakistan Zindabad Movement continued for the 2nd consecutive day in parts of Lower Dir here on Friday. Thousands of people came on the roads after Friday prayers at Talash, Samar Bagh, Timergara and other parts of the district.  The participants chanted slogans in support of Pakistan army and against Indian premier Narendra Modi for creating warfare in the region. The Samar Bagh rally was addressed by Sarbiland Khan, Maulana Muhammad Imran, Dost Rehman and others.
