RAWALPINDI: Determined to uproot drug menace from the country and the world, Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan seized 232.245 Kg Narcotics valuing Rs. 1.127 Billion internationally, arrested 40 culprits including 4 Ladies and impounded 11 vehicles while conducting 26 counter-narcotic strikes. The seized drugs comprised of 104.29 Kg Hashish, 75.2 Kg Opium, 51.025 Kg Heroin, 970 gram Amphetamine (Ice) and 0.760 gram Methamphetamine (Ice).
ANF Rawalpindi recovered 500 Gram Hashish from personal possession of the arrested accused namely Ashraf Khan resident of Rawalpindi. He was arrested near Chakwal Morr, Main GT Road, Jehlum. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested three accused namely Akif Shah and two lady accomplice namely Jasmin and Yasmeen all residents of Charsada and recovered 4.8 Kg Hashish and 1.2 Kg Opium from their personal possession.
They were arrested near Chakwal Morr, main GT Road, Jehlum. In third operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Hino Truck near Koral Chowk, Islamabad Expressway and recovered 6.000 Kg Hashish & 6.000 Kg Opium which was concealed in secret cavities of the seized Truck. Resultantly three accused namely Abdul Wakeel, Minar Khan and Ameen Khan all resident of Khyber agency were arrested during the operation. In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused namely Suleman resident of Charsadda and recovered 2 Kg Hashish form his personal possession. He was arrested near Chungi No 26 Bus Stop, Islamabad. In fifth operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Toyota XLI Car near PSO Petro Pump, Chungi No 4, Rawalpindi and recovered 1 Kg Heroin which was concealed in driving side door of the said vehicle. Resultantly two accused persons namely Imdad Khan and Shakeel Alam both residents of Peshawar were arrested during the operation.
In sixth operation, ANF Rawlapindi intercepted a Honda Infight Hybrid Car near Motorway Toll Plaza, Islamabad and recovered 4.8 Kg Hashish & 13.2 Kg Opium which was concealed in trunk of the said vehicle. Resultantly two accused identified as Jahangir Khan and Zeeshan Sami both residents of Mardan were arrested on the spot. In seventh operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested two accused persons namely Muhammad Nauman and Aftab Rafiq both residents of Rawalpindi and recovered 5 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. Both were arrested near Golra Morr Bus Stop, Islamabad.
ANF Lahore arrested two accused persons namely Abdul Rasheed and Muhammad Yasir both residents of Lahore and recovered 10 Kg Heroin from their personal possession. They were arrested near Khan Shaheed Rangers Check Post, Ghurki, Lahore.
In another operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car near Shamkot Motorway Toll Plaza, Khanewal and recovered 16.8 Kg Hashish & 12 Kg Opium from secret cavities of the said vehicle. Resultantly two accused namely Dilbar Khan and Syed Rafi Ullah both residents of Pishin were arrested during the operation. In third operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car near Rangers Check Post, Ganda Singh, Kasur and recovered 4.8 Kg Opium and 7.2 Kg Hashish from secret cavities of the vehicle. Resultantly two accused namely Adnan Khan and Abbas Khan both residents of Peshawar were arrested during the operation.
In fourth operation, ANF Lahore arrested an accused namely Muhammad Shahid resident of Charsadda and recovered 3 Kg Opium from his personal possession. He was arrested near Niazi Adda, Bus Stand, Band Road, Lahore. In fifth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Road Prince Motorcycle near Autth Hazari Pull, Ganda Singh, Kasur and recovered 15 Kg Heroin from personal possession of the three arrested accused persons namely Muhammad Parvaiz, Mukhtiar Ahmed both residents of Kasur and Arif Masih resident of Narowal. In sixth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Suzuki Vegnor near Butt Chowk, College Road, Lahore and recovered 700 gram Hashish from secret cavities of the said vehicle. Resultantly an accused identified as Waseem Gul resident of Lahore was arrested on the spot. In seventh operation, ANF Lahore recovered 800 gram Hashish from personal possession of the arrested accused namely Babar Majeed resident of Lahore.
He was arrested near Butt Chowk, College Road, Lahore. In eighth operation, ANF Lahore arrested an accused namely Rashid Maqsood resident of Faisalabad and recovered 1 Kg Heroin & 1 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. He was arrested near new campus of Government College University, Jhang Road, Faisalabad. In ninth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Hero Motorcycle near Rangers Check Post, Bhadian, Kasur and recovered 5 Kg Heroin from personal possession of the arrested accused namely Rashid Minhas resident of Kasur.
ANF Peshawar arrested two accused namely Junaid Khan and a lady accomplice Shaheen both residents of Peshawar and recovered 2.5 Kg Hashish from their personal possession. Both were arrested near Peshawar Ice Cream Shop, Kohat Road, Peshawar. In another operation, ANF Peshawar arrested a lady accused namely Wulla resident of Sahiwal and recovered 2.4 Kg Hashish from her personal possession. She was arrested from Niazi Adda, GT Road, Peshawar. In third operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car near Rashakai Interchange, Nowshera and recovered 46.8 Kg Hashish which was concealed behind seats of the vehicle. Resultantly two accused identified as Amin Khan and Abdul Wali Khan both residents of Khyber Agency were arrested during the operation.
In fourth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused namely Raza Abbas resident of Sahiwal and recovered 1.2 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. He was arrested near Shah Maqsood Interchange, Haripur. In fifth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested Shahid Amin resident of Charsadda at Peshawar International Airport and recovered 970 gram Amphetamine (Ice) with packing material concealed in his trolley bag. He was boarding for Sharjah through Flight No G9-555. In sixth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested Rehman Asghar resident of Hangu at Peshawar International Airport and recovered 590 gram Hashish which was concealed in his shoes. He was boarding for Dubai through Flight No PK-283. In seventh operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Toyota Hiace near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar and recovered 1.2 Kg Hashish which was concealed in driver seat door of the said vehicle. A person onboard namely Shabir Khan resident of Peshawar was arrested on the spot.
ANF Karachi arrested an accused person namely Muhammad Manzoor resident of Mirpur (AJK) at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi and recovered 18.785 Kg Heroin from his trolley bag. He was boarding for Birmingham via Dubai by Flight No EK-601. In another operation, ANF Karachi intercepted a Toyota Land Cruiser near Bus Terminal Yousaf Goth, Karachi and recovered 35 Kg Opium which was concealed in secret cavities of the said vehicle. A person on board namely Abdul Waris resident of Karachi was arrested on the spot. In third operation, ANF Karachi arrested an accused Mir Muhammad resident of Kaich at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi and recovered 760 gram Methamphetamine (Ice) and 240 gram Heroin from his trolley bag. He was boarding for Jeddah through Flight No SV-3505.
All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and further investigations are underway.
