Appointments at KP Assembly: PHC orders to submit reply

PESHAWAR: A divisional bench comprising of Chief Justice Peshawar High Court (PHC) Justice Musart Hilali and Justice Shakeel Ahmad ordered respondents to submit reply recruitment of employees at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly in different cadres while adjourned further hearing till 10 May, on Wednesday.

The counsel Bashir Khan Wazir Advocate argued that an advertisement for Computer Operators, Assistant Secretary, Assistant Protocol Officer and Protocol Officer were issued while successful candidates were neglected for recruitment and high-ups including Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly along with Secretary assembly along with other had appointed their children and wife on the said posts.
The counsel argued that test and interviews were held before dissolution of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly while the assembly officials claimed that recruitment didn’t concluded but the petitioner has obtained information that appointment has been completed on the said position.

The counsel argued that documents had been produced before court regarding irregularities and nepotism during recruitment and appointment at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. He argued that Speaker along with Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other high-ups had recruited their sons, daughters and wives on the position at the assembly.

The divisional comprising of Chief Justice PHC Justice Musart Hilali and Justice Shakeel Ahmad ordered respondents to submit reply while adjourned further hearing till 10th May.
