Audio allegedly featuring PTI women leaders’ conversation about GHQ attack leaked

LAHORE: An audio tape allegedly involving Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) women leaders have leaked online, revealing their conversation regarding May 9 attack on General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.

In the audio clip, former PTI MPA from Punjab Farah Agha could purportedly be heard discussing the attack with leaders of the party’s women wing.

She could be heard telling a worker named Sabreena that she was going GHQ as “Mam Kanwal” (former MNA Kanwal Shozab) had said so. She purportedly said Ms Shozab was also going there.

Ms Agha’s alleged conversation with another women wing’s leader Farkhanda also leaked online, wherein the former could purportedly be heard telling that clashes were underway between PTI workers and police near Saddar area.

She also named three persons, saying: “Rashid Hafeez, Shafique and Samawia are present in Faizabad”.

It is recalled that PTI workers staged violent protests and attacked military installations in various cities following the arrest of party chairman Imran Khan in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
