The 32-year-old, Balochistan Constabulary (BC) personnel Fazal-ur-Rehman has been confined to bed and battling for his life since 2016. Belonging to a hand-to-mouth family, the young personnel had critically injured in a road accident on Quetta highway four years back.

Poverty-stricken Fazal’s younger brother Habib-ur-Rehman, who is doing shuttering business in Zhob bazaar to earn livelihood for his family, has been running from pillar to post to get treated his ailing brother – the father of four children taking him to Quetta, Islamabad, Dera Ismail Khan, Multan and Karachi hospitals. “My elder brother has been bed-ridden since 2016. We have spent all the available wealth approximately Rs 7.5 million on his treatment and now unable to continue the treatment any longer due to financial constraints.” The distressed brother recalls the difficulties with tears rolling down his face.

Quoting the doctors he says, that Fazal is suffering from chronic head injury and the treatment is only possible in USA and European countries that requires around Rs 20 million, but his low income family is unable to afford the expenses of treatment abroad.
