CJP Bandial argued to resign following controversial decision

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council (KPBC) vice chairman urged Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) to resign for his dictatorial behavior and following Justice Athar Min Allah judicial order regarding Suo Moto Jurisdiction in election for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab Assemblies, on Saturday.

KPBC vice chairman stated that CJP Umar Atta Bandial has violated his oath and judicial ethical code to declare 4-3 decision regarding Suo Moto jurisdiction as 3-2 as per his emotion and will which a blame for judicial system of Pakistan.

Vice chairman Zar Badshah condemned CJP Bandial attitude towards Justice Muzahir Naqvi for placing him in benches of his interests despite reference is pending against him at Supreme Judicial Commission filed by KPBC while ignoring senior judges in constitutional cases which is against the Judicial ethics.

KPBC condemned CJP as Chairman Supreme Judicial Commission (SJC) of Pakistan by ignoring Peshawar High Court (PHC) Chief Justice to elevate as Supreme Court Judge while now didn’t calling meeting SJC to appointed CJ PHC to play with delaying tactics.

KPBC argued Federal Government to initiate reference against CJP Umar Atta Bandial to ensure trust of public on SCP because legal fraternity stand with free and independent judiciary neither with Political Supreme Court, vice chairman Zar Badshah argued.

KPBC vice chairman Zar Badshah called lawyer meeting on 12th April while all presidents and general secretaries of bar associations were invited to pave way for further struggle in this regard in the future.
