CM directs depts to remain on high alert during rainy season

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mahmood Khan here on Monday directed the concerned institutions to remain on high alert in protection of life and properties during ongoing rainy season.

According to a statement, he directed the concerned quarters to remain vigilant to deal with any emergency related situation.

He issued directive for opening of the roads disrupted due to rain water and clearing of drainages choked with flash floods.

He said the relief departments, Rescue 1122 and other related departments should be in high alert for meeting any eventuality in time.

The institutions should make foolproof arrangements for meeting the damages caused to men and properties in the natural calamities besides making proper assessment of the damages for quick provision of relief to the affectees.

He also instructed the hospitals and other health facilities for taking appropriate measures in provision of quality health services to the injured.

Early redressal of grievances of the people is prime responsibility of the departments concerned, the CM concluded.
