CM inaugurates park named after martyred APS principal

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Mahmood Khan here Tuesday inaugurated a ladies park named after the martyred principal of Army Public School, Tahira Qazi, in a special ceremony.

The park has been established on the premises of Shahi Mehman Khana.

The CM also inspected various facilities being provided for the visitors.

Speaking on the occasion, CM said that recreational facilities for the citizenry of Peshawar would be further increased and steps would be taken to revive the grandeur of the city by launching beautification projects.

He also said that government would ensure transparent and judicious utilization of public money and would not budge from its resolve to establish supremacy of law and merit.  Government has zero tolerance for corruption since its inception, he concluded.

Khan has said that Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project would be completed by March 23.

In a brief chat with media after attending an emergency meeting on BRT here Tuesday, CM said that all the concerned departments have been directed to complete the project within stipulated timer limit at any cost.

DG Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) and Project Director BRT has been directed to conduct joint visit of BRT corridor and submit a detailed report within two days about progress on the project to CM secretariat.

DG PDA has also been directed to maintain a liaison with media person about pace of work for awareness of the public. To a question that had he been granted clean chit by the Nab in Malamjabba land case, CM parried the query saying that he would not making any comment. “I have full regard and respect for state institutions and will visit the NAB office whenever summoned”, the CM concluded.
