CPEC phase-I to complete till October 2019: Yao Jing

ABBOTTABAD: China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) phase-I would be completed till October 2019. Abbottabad is the gateway to CPEC. China completely support Kashmiri’s struggle.

This was stated by the Ambassador of China to Pakistan Yao Jing while talking to media after Chinese New Year celebrations in Abbottabad.

He further said that they have enjoyed a lot the celebrations of the new Chinese year in Abbottabad adding that CPEC plays vital role between China Pakistan relations and we would increase cooperation in other sectors.

 Ambassador Yao Jing maintained that China would continue its support for the development of education sector in Pakistan. He said that China Pakistan relations are exemplary in the world and our friendship would continue.

Earlier, on his arrival at Pak China Public School, Abbottabad, Speaker KP Assembly Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani welcomed him and a cake cutting ceremony was also held in connection with the new Chinese calendar year where a large number of Chinese workers from different projects were also present.

By-polls campaign continue in PK-30: Heavy snowfall and tough weather conditions on Tuesday could not stop the candidates of PML-N, PTI and other to continue their campaign for the PK-30 Balakot bye-elections those would be held on February 26.

The two major political parties PTI and PML-N candidates have geared up their election drive despite the fact that most of the areas in Tehsil Balakot received heavy snowfall and roads are blocked.

A nail-biting competition is expected between the PTI and PML-N where both candidates Syed Mazhar Qasim and Syed Ahmed Shah are conducting their campaign in the snowfall areas on foot to motivate the voters and supporters.

PML-N member KP assembly Mian Zia ur Rehman was disqualified for life by the Supreme Court of Pakistan on fake degree case.

Interestingly all rivals of PK-30 have formed two groups and joins hand to beat each other, Mian Zia ur Rehman and Mazhar Qasim have gathered while Sardar Mushtaq and Syed Ahmed Shah formed an alliance.

According to the Election Commission, o Pakistan (ECP) bye-election in PK-30 are scheduled to be held on February 26, 2019.

DIG Hazara visits Comsats University Abbottabad: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Police Hazara region Muhammad Ali Babakhail on Tuesday visited Comsats University and reviewed the security arrangements.

He assessed the Close Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras surveillance system and directed to improve the identification system at the main gate entry and other security arrangements, he also assured complete support of police department for the security of the university.

While briefing the DIG Hazara Division Director Comsats Dr. Arshad Pervez about curricular and extra-curricular activities of the activities of the university and visited different departments of the university, he also appreciated the visits of DIG Hazara.

Muhammad Ali Babakhail at the occasion announced Road Safety Workshop for students and mobile computerized driving license facility in the university.

DIG Hazara told to Director Comsats to make special software for the better working of Hazara police, Arshad Pervez assured for the cooperation with the police department.
