Crackdown on drug peddlers intensifies across Sindh: Sharjeel

Karachi: Upon the instructions of Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, a series of crackdowns against drug dealers is ongoing across the province. The Department of Excise, Narcotics Control, and Police have arrested 10 more suspects and recovered drugs while conducting operations in various areas.

The Excise police arrested two drug dealers, Samir and Arif Younis, in Lyari and recovered 250 grams of “crash” (heroin). Excise Narcotics Control arrested the accused Muhammad Moeem and recovered 2200 grams of hashish in the Dighri area of Mirpur Khas. In Bhan Syedabad, Mahi Otho, and Amri areas of Jamshoro district, the police arrested three drug dealers: Gul Hasan Dipar, Ali Dost Solangi, and Ali Akbar Solangi, during operations against drug dealers. Additionally, raw liquor has been recovered, and cases have been registered against the accused.

During the operations conducted by Sajawal police, two drug dealers were arrested, and 1025 grams of hashish were recovered. Additionally, an accused named Ashiq Ali Machhi was arrested, and 520 grams of hashish were recovered. In a separate operation, an accused named Zulfiqar, alias Bhutto Leghari, was arrested.

The Senior Minister of Sindh and Provincial Minister for Information, Excise, Taxation, Narcotics Control, praised the actions taken against drug dealers and stated that drug dealers are enemies of society who cannot be forgiven under any circumstances.

He emphasized that the encirclement of drug dealers is being tightened, and the crackdown will be more effective in the next few days. Sharjeel Inam Memon warned that drug dealers should desist, as their days are numbered.
