ISLAMABAD: Defending champion Sri Lanka succeeded to get access to the Asia Cup final but thanks to fast bowler, Zaman Khan, who made this success difficult for them until the last ball.
Sri Lanka qualified for the final after defeating Pakistan in the crucial match of the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup on Thursday.
Both teams were facing the crucial situation as Sri Lanka needed 8 runs from the last 6 balls when Zaman Khan bowled the last over from Pakistan. Sri Lanka required 2 runs in the last ball but it was poor fielding which helped Sri Lankan batter, Charith Asalanka to score easily taking his team to the final.
After the defeat, Pakistani cricketers could not hide their sadness in the stadium and Zaman Khan also became emotional while was sitting on the pitch. Sensing his condition, Shaheen Afridi and other cricketers hugged and comforted Khan.
Due to poor fielding and batting, Pakistan team is being criticized by the cricket fans but they are sharing the picture of Zaman Khan on social media as a token of love and appreciating his splendid performance in the debut match.
