KABUL (BNA): A $2.7 million contract for single-phase and three-phase meters was signed between Mullah Mohammad Hanif Hamza, CEO of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), and the representative of the Chinese meter manufacturing company, Shenzhen CLOU.
DABS announced today that the mentioned company will produce approximately 150,000 standard single-phase and three-phase meters. These meters will be imported into Afghanistan and integrated into the network upon arrival.
Previously, DABS customers had to purchase their required meters from the open market at various, often high, prices. Now, through this contract with the Chinese company, DABS aims to facilitate customers by providing these meters at a more reasonable cost.
The meters produced by the Chinese company will meet DABS standards and will be used in network repair and development projects. This initiative will solve many issues faced by customers regarding electricity meters, providing them with standard meters at affordable prices.
