F.P. Report

LAHORE: Workers of different religious and little-known groups have rejected the call of ending the sit-ins in different parts of the provincial capital despite an agreement between the government and protestors in Islamabad.

The 21 days long sit-in at Islamabad was ended on Monday after the resignation of Federal Law Minister Zahid Hamid and an agreement between the government and protestors.

Protestors in Lahore belonging to different religious groups have refused to end the protest at Faisal Chowk and Shahdara areas of Lahore and they demanded resignation of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and saying that they will not disperse until their demands are met.

In Lahore the protesters blocked the roads at Faisal Chowk and creating difficulties for residents. Police have been deployed around the area to keep the situation under control.
