Dr. Farid nominated for World’s Top 2% Scientists list

PESHAWAR: Prof. Dr. Farid Ullah Khan, Department of Mechatronics Engineering, UET Peshawar has been nominated for the prestigious World’s Top 2% Scientists list, published by Stanford University, USA and Elsevier, a global information analytics company.

The Top 2% Scientists list is a respected resource for recognizing the most prominent scientists in their fields globally.

The list is based on data from Scopus, the world’s largest abstract and citation database and includes scientists from all fields of research.

The selection is based on a composite indicator called the c-score, which considers several factors, including the number of citations a scientist has received, the h-index, and the field-normalized citation impact. The c-score is a comprehensive measure of scientific impact than traditional metrics, such as, the total number of citations for a particular research publication.

Prof. Dr. Farid Ullah Khan is the founding director of the “Sensor and Energy Harvesting Systems Research Lab”.

An eminent academic expert and administrator, Dr. Farid has expertise in energy, energy harvesting, renewable energy, mechatronic systems and machine health monitoring.

The inclusion of Dr. Farid Ullah Khan in the list is a significant achievement for UET Peshawar. It is a testimony to the high quality, cutting edge research performed at the University and commitment of its researchers.
