Education institutions to remain closed for two days in Chitral

CHITRAL: All schools will remain closed in District Lower Chitral for two days — March 30 and 31 — shutting down all kinds of educational activities in the district, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

As per the notification issued by the deputy commissioner officer, Lower Chitral, all schools, colleges and unversities will remain closed for two days including Wednesday (today) and Thursday (tomorrow) keeping in view the second phase of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa local bodies elections voting for which will be held on March 31.

The notification reads,”…in order to conduct the election process in a smooth manner and enable all employees to cast their vote and perform election duty there will be a public holiday in district Chitral on 30 and 31 March, 2022.”

It has been clarified that officers and departments involved in the conduct of elections will remain open and functional as usual to dispose of the affairs of elections.
