Elections likely to be delayed: Sheikh Rasheed

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Awami Muslim League (AML) and former federal minister, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has claimed that the upcoming general election likely to be postponed till October this year.

Sheikh Rasheed raised his concerns regarding the general election while talking to media persons on Monday. He said that the ongoing political situation in the country is not suitable for the elections and he doesn’t see elections happening in July.

Last week, Sheikh Rasheed announced to contest upcoming general election along with PTI Chairman Imran Khan. During the press conference he alleged that the Sharif family trying to get a National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) deal but they will not be succeeded in their plans as the people will not accept any kind of deal this time.
