KABUL (Agencies): Second Vice-President Mohammad Sarwar Danesh in a meeting with the newly appointed acting and nominee Minister of Telecommunication and Information Technology, Mohammad Fahim Hashimi, his office said late on Sunday.

The country’s Second Vice-President congratulated him as the acting minister of the telecommunication and information technology and said this was the first time in the country’s history that a SuniHazara is appointed as the country’s cabinet member, a statement from his office said.

“The Sunni Hazaras are the most deprived and excluded minority of the country and this highlights the National Unity Government’s firm plan to implement justice among various tribal and social groups to observe meritocracy to appoint a young Sunni Hazar cadre as Afghanistan’s cabinet member,” said the statement.

Meantime, Mr. Hashimi pledged to do his best to fairly provide service to the country’s entire people and take in mind the country’s Second Vice President’s instructions during his career as telecommunication acting minister.
