‘Fake news’: Ehsan Mani on stepping down as PCB chairman

Monitoring Desk

KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Chairman Ehsan Mani, on Monday, rejected the news that he would be stepping down from his current position. Yesterday, news was published regarding former cricketer Rashid Latin claiming that Chairman Ehsan Mani had submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Imran Khan.

However, when approached on the matter by an Express correspondent, Ehsan Mani called it ‘fake news’. Rashid Latif has refrained from responding on the matter yet. However, he had earlier verified his comment regarding the resignation of the PCB Chairman when contacted by an Express Correspondent. It should be noted that Mani’s three-year tenure is expected to end in the month of September of the current year.
