FM calls for unity to cope with internal, external challenges

MULTAN: Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi has stressed the need for unity to cope with internal and external challenges.

Talking to media in Multan, he said the country is facing numerous challenges and the whole nation would have to extend maximum support to deal with the challenges.

He said that Pakistan wanted peace in the region and committed to promote friendly relations with all countries on basis of mutual respect and equality.

The Minister said the incumbent government would steer the country towards matchless progress. He said the country is moving on the path of uplift and prosperity with a good pace.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said the whole world would witness Pakistan, as progressing country, very soon.

Later, the Foreign Minister condoled with journalist Syed Sajjad Bukhari on the death of his brother Syed Sharif Bukhari.

Similarly, Shah Mehmood Qureshi visited the residences of journalist Nasim Yusuf, Information Officer Wasim Yousuf and condoled with them on the demise of their father.

The Foreign Minister also condoled Senior Photo Journalist Chaudhry Khalid on the demise of his wife. Qureshi prayed that May Allah Almighty rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
