CHELSEA: English football club Chelsea decided to strengthen their bench by adding a 19-year-old French footballer Malo Gusto from French club Lyon on loan agreeing to pay £26.3m plus add-ons but the Head coach Blanc complained as he was promised Gusto’s stay for the season.

Lyon’s head coach Laurent Blanc stated that the board had guaranteed him that Gusto would stay at the club for the rest of the season. “The board guaranteed to me that Rayan Cherki and Malo Gusto will be here until the end of the season,” said Blanc.

Chelsea decided to loan Lyon’s right-back defender and agreed to pay £26.3m plus add-ons. Gusto will be joining the club in the summer reportedly.

After the agreement was officially announced, Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas took to his twitter and declared that Malo would continue with the French giants Lyon once the season is over.

It appears that the club has bowed down to the player’s wishes and while Chelsea have agreed the deal, Gusto will now be loaned back to Lyon for the remainder of this campaign.
