PESHAWAR: The Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shah Farman has appealed the countrymen in general and the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in particular to re-affirm their commitment to be ready to offer any sacrifice for up-holding the just cause of the people of Kashmir and make their long cherished dream of getting freedom from the clutches of Indian occupation materialized.
Ensuring complete unity and cohesion in our ranks in this critical juncture of our history is in itself will be of a great source of strength to our Kashmiri brethren and I also appeal my countrymen to be conscious in this connection too.
This he has said in a message on the eve of 5th February; (the Kashmir Solidarity Day). The complete text of the message is given below:
“We, the Pakistani Nation today on 5th February vehemently express solidarity with our Kashmiri brethren in their just struggle of freedom from the clutches of Indian Occupation. It is an occasion to ensure our support to the oppressed people of Indian Occupied Kashmir and join hands with the Kashmiris living across the world.
Today’s event is aimed to get realize the world community, the sufferings and miseries of the Kashmiris, ever since the Maharaja Hari Singh declared accession of the state to India against their will and aspiration in 1947. The un-just action of the Maharaja at the behest of his Indian mentors is adding miseries of the Kashmiri people languishing in Indian Occupied Kashmir with every passing day.
The message further said that “we join hands with the Kashmiri people to secure their right of self-determination and it is the day to practically demonstrate our commitment to promote their just cause. This time the day carries special importance, since a new leadership with a high spirit and commitment in Pakistan is struggling hard at every forum to advocate the cause of our Kashmiri brethren. At the same time, we fully realize the sensitivity of the untiring struggle of Kashmiri brethren and today’s activities are the practical examples of it.
While conveying the feelings of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on this historic occasion, I also appeal my countrymen in general and the people of this province in particular to re-affirm their commitment to offer every sacrifice for up-holding the just cause of the people of Kashmir and make their long cherished dream of getting freedom from the clutches of Indian occupation materialized with complete unity in our own ranks and files as a great source of strength to our Kashmiri brethren as well”.
