Govt establish tourism police to protect tourists: IGP

PESHAWAR: The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr Muhammad Naeem khan has said that the Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police fought as a front line force against the terrorists and rendered numerous sacrifices in the 17 years long war for the defence of the nation.

this he said while addressing a police darbar on the 3rd day of his visit to hazara at jalal uddin baba auditorium today. all ranks police officers and police jawans largely participate in the darbar. DIG hazar Muhammad ali baba khail and DPO abbotabad Abbas Majed Marwat were also present on this occasion. the IGP informed that hazara was a hub of tourist activities and a large number of tourists come here and  directed the police jawans to win the hearts and minds of the tourists through exemplary good behaviour so as the true image of KP Police can be transpired to the rest of the people of the country.

The IGP directed to the participants of the darbar to come to the rescue of the oppressed section of the society  and being the oppressor to book. The IGP said that discipline would be maintained at the all level and those earning bad names for the force would not be tolerated. The IGP informed that all confronting problems of the police force would be solved on priorities basis. on this occasion the IGP also distributed cash prizes and commendation certificates amongst the police officers and jawans who exhibited outstanding performance in the line of duty.

Later on a delegation of local journalist and traders community separately called on the IGP .while talking with the delegation the IGP informed that protection of , honours and property    was the prime responsibility of the police force and the KP Police would ensure peace and tranquillity in the society at all cost.

The IGP said that we all should work from the same platform for maintenance of the peace in the society. He added that when we all are united then the miscreants would not be able to sabotage law and order.

Referring to CPEC and tourism, the IGP said that both are the game changer for Hazara region.
