Govt established complaints redressal mechanism: CM

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan has said that his government has established complaints redressal mechanism at all tiers of governance throughout the province. There is no political interference in the public sector institutions and these institutions have been sensitized to the public service. Powers and authority both allocative and dedicated needed to be used for the public welfare and achieving the goals in different sectors, he added.

He was talking to different delegations belong to cross sections of the society at Chief Minister House Peshawar.  They informed the Chief Minister of their problems.

Talking to the people, Mahmood Khan said he was aware of the joblessness in the province and the government was therefore doing everything to give relief to the people. His government has given attractive concessions to boost private sector for maximum jobs generation in the province, he added . He said his government was working to accomplish the task of setting up Economic Zones and industrialization involving the youth to get the sort of expertise required for the futuristic plan of industrialization in the province. The process of reforms in the public sector institutions will continue and we are bringing more transparency in the public dealing and governance, he added.

Mahmood Khan said his government has taken basic steps to lead the province towards sustained economic growth adding that the beginning was tough one but now we are clear about our destination. He said there was no room for favoritism and nepotism. There would be strictly merit based decision making that will benefit the people, he added. The Chief Minister said that there will be a shift in approach from Extractive economic orientation towards a more Inclusive economic orientation at both policy and implementation levels for the benefit of poor and working class. We wanted a just and transparent economic order in order to remove the inequalities in the society and where everyone would be accountable and responsive for their power exercise and responsiveness, he added.

Chief Minister said that the reforms introduced in the police, local government and other sectors have been appreciated at all levels. However it is not the end but the beginning of a huge challenge to bring consistency to the reform process. He said that the reforms would ensure an in-built complaint redressal system and the people would never look to influential for resolution of their problems. He said that his government wanted to focus on the people grievances as the previous rulers had a self centric approach that complicated the whole governance delivery system.

Mahmood Khan said that tourism was being promoted on industrial lines and the natural advantages of the province were being made the bases for economic growth. The youth and skilled manpower would have new openings for their vertical progress adding that within the limited resources we would make a visible difference. He said the people were fed up with the past rulers and their shenanigans and therefore voted Imran Khan and his party for a real change. He called upon the elected representatives to accomplish the task of bringing real change for the benefit of the poor and powerless segments of society.
