F.P. Report

LAHORE: Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that accountability against corruption will not stop, as the government is not afraid of opposition’s alliance and no one who is indulged in corruption or any other grave crime will be spared.

He expressed these views while speaking during separate meetings with Salman Raza, Fareeha Arshad, Pir Syed Nazim Hussain and party delegations from different districts and overseas Pakistanis here on Sunday.

Ch. Sarwar said that the decision of “Successful Youth Program” worth of 100 billion rupees is a gift for the youth of Pakistan from the government. He said, “We will utilize all our resources to empower our youth and to provide them with necessary opportunities to earn their respectable livelihood. Overseas Pakistanis are an asset for Pakistan. Federal and provincial governments including state institutions are striving hard to end their problems and assimilate their potential into national resources.”

He said that the government is currently paying attention to get this country out of the economic crises as soon as possible and the whole nation will see its results in a few months. He said that under the leadership of PM Imran Khan, the government is taking emergency steps to bring reforms in the institutions. Independent and strengthened institutions will facilitate Pakistan to grow economically and to make progress and will also help solving the problems of the common people, he added.

The Governor Punjab further stated that the opposition parties who have reigned for many times in federation and provinces are uniting against the accountability. Their aim is only to save their corruption and to keep the nation oblivious. But Imran Khan has made it clear various times that corruption is the root cause of all problems which Pakistan is facing and we must have to get rid of the cancer of corruption at all costs, he clarified.

Ch. Sarwar said, “The problems which Pakistan is facing today for instance inefficiency, unemployment, corruption and institutional decay are the results of the flawed policies of the previous governments. Now the unity of Opposition against the accountability movement cannot fool our nation again and it will inshAllah go unhindered under the leadership of Imran Khan who has pledged to cleanse this country from corrupt practices and to bring transparency and good governance.

The whole nation is standing beside Imran Khan in his mission to move this country towards real prosperity.”
