Govt. to come hard against parents refusing oral polio drops to their kids: Shaukat

F.P. Report

PESHAWAR: Provincial Information Minister Shaukat Ali Yusafzai has said that parents who refused to administer oral polio drops to their kids was unfortunate and injustice which must be discourage at all levels.

The Information Minister said while talking to media men here in connection with ongoing anti polio drive.

The government will take tough decisions against the parents refusing to give oral polio drops to their children as the provincial government would not allow anyone to play with the future of the innocent children.

Oral polio drops meant to stop the children from becoming disable for their whole life. Majority of the countries get themselves rid of this disease but unfortunately negative propaganda in our country against the anti polio drive was still on.

Foreign travel embargo put in place against our country whenever a single case of polio was reported in our country.

The government is taking every possible measure for eradication of this crippling disease. However some parents who refused to give oral drops to their kids made efforts of the organizations and the government engaged in its eradication as futile.

Depriving children from the oral polio drops was not only dangerous but it spoke of particular mindset as well.
