IHC extends Imran’s interim bail until May 3 in eight cases

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court has extended interim bail of PTI Chairman Imran Khan until May 3 in eight cases related to happenings at the Judicial Complex.

The court also granted exemption from appearance in all the cases to Imran Khan.

IHC CJ Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Hassan Aurangzeb conducted the hearing on Tuesday. Imran’s lawyer Faisal Chaudhry, Advocate General and Additional Attorney General also appeared in the court.

Faisal Chaudhry informed the court that his client could make it to the court today as he has appeared in LHC. “There are security reasons for Imran Khan for not appearing in courts in Islamabad,” he added.

On court’s inquiry, he said that all the eight cases were related Judicial Complex incident.

Court issues bailable arrest warrants for PTI chief

A local court in Islamabad Tuesday issued bailable arrest warrants for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan in the lady judge threat case.

The court ordered the police to comply with the arrest warrants for Imran Khan and adjourned hearing of the case till May 25 next.

Judge Malik Amanullah had heard the case. It is to be noted here that Imran Khan had threatened the lady judge by name in a public meeting.
