TIMERGARA: The Awami national Party spokesman and former senator Zahid Khan on Saturday said that both the Jamaat-i-Islami and Jamiat Ulema Islam Fazl were getting perks and privileges of the governments for the last five years but one parted ways with the center and the other with KP government at the end.
Addressing a party joining function at Manz Banda here he said that MMA had not been restored for Islamization but for reaching Islamabad. He said the religious political parties could no more deceive the masses on the name of Islam as people had tested them from 2002 to 2008.
The ANP leader also came hard on the PTI and said its chief Imran Khan was only interested in Punjab. He said the PTI government in the province was badly failed to initiate or complete a single mega project.”The PTI chief has kept silence on horse trading of his MPAs in senate election while the JI chief on the famous Khyber Bank scam, ” he alleged, adding it was only the ANP that served Pukhtun whenever it came in power.
He announced that the ANP chief Asfandyar Wali Khan would address a big rally at Timergara on may, 05. He asked party workers to make this rally a success. The function was also addressed by ANP candidate for PK 15 Mukhtiar Khan, nazim Saifullah and others. Political workers including Speen Pacha, Sher Zada, Sada Gul, Khaista Muhammad, Amin ur Rehman, Shafiullah and others announced to quit the JI and PPP and join the ANP.
