KP CM commends efforts of health dept for launching HRMIS

PESHAWAR: As an important initiative under institutional reforms, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department has successfully launched Human Resource Management and Information System (HRMIS) digitizing the entire record of employees across the province. Besides, verifiable E-posting/transfer/appoint/leave orders have also been introduced under the HRMIS whereas it has also been integrated with the system of Provincial Public Service Commission and Post Graduate Medical Institute. Moreover, the department has issued necessary directives to all its subordinate bodies to implement and use the new system.
It was told in a briefing given to caretaker Chief Minister Azam Khan here the other day. It was informed that the department has a total human resource of about 90,000 employees, and due to non-availability of digital record of those employees, the department faced various challenges with regard to policy decision and other human resource related matters adding that the need for a verifiable digital record of the employees was being felt for a long time.
The Chief Minister was told that the IT team of health department had been able to develop the HRMIS without incurring a single penny from the government exchequer. Talking on this occasion, the Chief Minister termed the launching of HRMIS as a good initiative for further streamlining the HR related matters of the department, ensuring transparency and enhancing efficiency in the department.
He lauded the efforts of Advisor Health and his entire team for successfully introducing the HRMIS, and said that the system will definitely improve the overall performance of the department.
