PESHAWAR: Speaker provincial assembly Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani has said that Press is an important pillar of the state and it has always been played vital and important role for the state interests with responsibility. He said that these days journalist’s community faced worse economic difficulties and government stood firmly with the them to resolve these issues on priority.
He was talking with the journalists during ‘Meet the Press’ session arranged by Peshawar press club, wherein president of Peshawar press club Bukhar Shah and president of Khyber Union of Journalists and general secretaries of the club were also present on this occasion.
Mr. Ghani said that press is the fundamental part of the Pakistan being the forth pillar of the state and it has always been performed its duty with great conscientiousness.
He said that media had gone through difficult economical circumstances and the incumbent government was willing wholeheartedly to resolve their problems.
During the session with journalists, he claimed that when Pakistan Tehrk-i-Isanf came into power the country basic debts were so big and we were near to bankruptcy. He said that during the last government tenure the high inflation affected all the stratas of the society and the poor had higher inflation affecting them. He said that PTI government which had always raised the voice for the poor of the country will resolve all their problems according to their wishes. He said that people had voted them on the slogan of the change and the PTI government has fulfilled its all promises by making corruption free the institutions.
He said that as a speaker of the whole house I have always played the role of a bridge between the treasury and opposition benches in the assembly. He explained that being a neutral one and the true representative of the public he became popular not only among the party ranks but also gain the vote’s opposition members during the process for the speaker selection.
He said that following the ideology of party chairman Imran Khan drastic changes were made on the provincial level and government had maintained zero tolerance for the corruption practices in the government departments.
He said that it was the result of PTI policies that today the foreign investors showed their desires for investment in Pakistan for the first time in the history, which was a great achievement.
He said that the present government through the revolutionary economic steps was committed to initiate a one window project by engaging the government, commerce and academia representatives to encourage the foreign business community.
He said that we have a huge tourism industry and people across the world want to visit Pakistan to see its beautiful sites. He said that through long lasting policies government aimed to provide the employment opportunities in tourism sector which would be a biggest opportunity.
