SWABI: In Maina Village, ManeriBala union council a man killed his step-brother and seriously maimed his nephew here on Tuesday, said police. It has been learnt that late Faroosh Mohammad had two wives and he was having three sons from one wife and one deceased Nizar Mohammad from other.
Registering an FIR injured Zahir Mohammad told police that they were irrigating their land, suddenly Raz Mohammad had stopped water flow to their field and diverted it to his own crop and they questioned to know the reason.
Rivalry erupted over the stoppage of water led to alleged opening of fire and killing of his father, Nizar Mohammad and injuring him.
The injured Zahir was taken to Bacha Khan Hospital Complex Shahmansoor and later he was referred to Lady Ready Hospital, Peshawar due to his serious condition. The police have registered an FIR and started investigation.
