Mayor for quality education in Municipal institutions

PESHAWAR (APP): The Mayor Peshawar Haji Zubair Ali has said that steps have been taken for ensuring and improving quality of municipal educational institutions on priority basis. This he said while addressing a meeting here on Sunday. He said the educational institutions of the Municipal are playing their key role as compared to other private and public educational institutions of Peshawar.
It is gratifying to see 98% percentage of Metropolitan Schools and Colleges in the recent matriculation and FAFSC results, Haji Zubair Ali said. Mayor Haji Zubair Ali said that he is trying to achieve education from the first day and will play his key role to improve the quality of other private and public educational institutions of Peshawar along with municipal educational institutions.
The meeting was held in which Director General Capital Metropolitan Government Syed Waqas Ali Shah, Director Administration Owais Ahmad Khan, Director East Rehman Khattak, Director West Riaz Awan, Admin Officer Khudaday Nazar, Deputy Director Audit, Municipal Inter College Wazir Bagh Boys, Principal Qazi Farman, Municipal Girls College Shahi Bagh. Principal Nusrat Mustal, Principal of City Degree College Najma Shafiq and others participated on this occasion.
Mayor Peshawar said that they are the future of this country, so students should study hard to raise the name of their country and nation. Capital Metropolitan Government Peshawar Mayor Haji Zubair Ali while appreciating the performance of municipal inter-colleges in the recent intermediate examinations, said that compared to previous years, 98% results have been obtained in schools and colleges managed by the Metropolitan this year which is proud.
It was only possible with the support of the relevant officers of the Metropolitan Government and the management of schools and colleges. Mayor Haji Zubair Ali while issuing instructions to the administrative officers, asked them to allocate a place for the uniforms and books of their school colleges from where the students can easily buy their uniforms and books.
He further said that uniforms and book stalls should be set up for two or three days after the annual examinations in the municipal educational institutions. Announcing the cash prize for the male and female students, he said that the students who got the first position will be given Rs. 100,000, second position holders would get Rs. 50,000 and third position holders would be awarded Rs. 25000 respectively.
He expressed the hope that other students would have good marks, would study with hard work and dedication and would get a better position. Haji Zubair Ali stressed on the teachers and lecturers of municipal educational institutions that they should improve their graphs and focus on the education of students so that municipal educational institutions will be able to improve their education.
