NAB Chairman takes notice on complaints against NTS

ISLAMABAD (NNI): Chairman of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal has on Tuesday, taken notice of the complaints against National Testing Service (NTS) while questioning the existence of NTS despite the presence of Pakistan Public Service Commission (PPSC).

NAB Chairman stressed that NTS has risked the future of bright yet poor students and demanded an answer as to why NTS has failed to protect the interests of students.

According to NAB spokesperson, Chairman NAB had ordered probe into NTS after taking notice of several complaints received against NTS related to paper leaking, and putting the interests of students at risk along with several other complaints.

Earlier, a NAB team had raided the NTS’s headquarters in relation to alleged test paper leak matter and arrested four NTS officials including NTS chief Dr. Sherzada Khan.

NAB investigated the record of two offices and also interrogated the NTS employees in headquarters before making arrests. Officials of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) were also among NAB’s team.

On the other hand, NTS officials had barred the Public access to the two offices under investigation. The raid was conducted after Chairman NAB had ordered investigation into the matter after NAB had received complaints were filed by students with regard to NTS test papers leaks.
