ISLAMABAD (APP): Federal Minister for Pakistan Railways (PRs) Khawaja Saad Rafique has said though Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is going through a rough phase but the supremacy of the constitution will not be compromised at any cost.

He said that we thought that the dream of achieving judicial freedom has been fulfilled.

On the looming announcement of senior politician Javed Hashmi rejoining the PML-N, the Minister PRs said that veteran politicians should be valued.

“The party was responsible for Javed Hashmi’s departure,” said the federal minister, adding that no one can deny Hashmi’s political value.

Rafique lamented that the party couldn’t nurture democratic values. “Political parties should be allowed to run their own political course” he added.

Veteran politician Hashmi is likely to meet former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday, where he is to formally announce to rejoin the PML-N.

In 2011, after serving a long for PML-N, Javed Hashmi joined the PTI but in 2014, he left the party after levelling serious allegations against party chairman Imran Khan.
