Operation against hoarders continued

DIR LOWER (APP): Deputy Commissioner Dir Lower along with other staff from the food department has launched an operation against illegal hoarders in the district.
Talking to media men during his visit to different localities, Deputy Commissioner Iftikhar Ahmad said that they are raiding different areas to nip the hoarders and black marketers who created artificial shortages of sugar and other food items.
He said, Minister Food, Secretary Food Department Abid Khan, Director Food Department Muhammad Yasir Hassan along with officials of the food department including District Food Controller District Dir Lower Kashif Ehsan, Riaz Ahmed (Assistant Food Controller), Shabbir Ahmad (Food Inspector) and Azam Khan (Food Inspector) checked the sugar stocks and bills in various mega marts, general stores and grain merchant warehouses and shops located in Gulabad and Chakdara Bazar Tehsil Adenzai.
Bills and stocks of all shopkeepers were checked and found to be satisfactory. Officials of the Food Department will continue to operate indiscriminately against the sugar mafia in different Tehsils on a daily basis so as to ensure easy availability of sugar to the general public on a government rate.
Ward attendant of Timergara hospital killed
A ward attendant in the Timergara hospital was killed with a sudden gun-shot during checking of guns in the gun-shop, Police said here Sunday.
According to detail given by the Police, one Sherzada, a ward attendant, visited a gun-shop in Latimgarh area for buying a gun and in a checking guns, he injured with a sudden fire. He was taken to hospital by the officials of the Rescue 1122 but later on he succumbed to his bullet injury.
The official of the Timergara hospital and Police confirmed that Sherzada died while checking weapons in the arms shop in the market. Sherzada was brought to DHQ Timergara in an injured condition, the doctor on duty said. But during medical treatment, he died because of the bullet injury. Police have also registered a case with further investigation.
