Opposition politicizing BRT project: Shaukat

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information Shaukat Yousafzai said on Thursday that opposition was politicizing Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project adding that no one would be spared if found involved in corruption in the project.

Speaking with media perons the Minister for Information Shaukat Yousafzai said that BRT was a public project and being constructed on lowest cost.

“The Chief Minister Mahmood Khan was himself supervising the project and reviewing the report,” he stated and added that would remove the technical faults    mentioned in the report submitted by provincial investigation team.

Criticizing the Nawaz-led government he said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was cleaning the mess of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) led government.

“PML-N and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had left the country in the debt trap of RS.30 thousand billion and everyday Pakistan was paying installment of Rs.7 billion,” he said and added that would the champions of corruption tell if the Prime Minister Imran Khan had loaned this amount.

Information Minister continued and stated that stern decisions were being taken by the government to steer the country out of debt trap.

“Inflation in the country would come end if Nawaz and Zardari return the looted money,” he asserted adding that he advises Bilawal Bhutto to stay away from Zardari.

He also said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was working on merit and without any discrimination.
