‘Palestine’s situation aggravating extremely’

RAWALPINDI: Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Human Rights and Women Empowerment Mushaal Hussein Mullick on Friday said that the worst kind of genocide was being carried out in Palestine and the humanitarian situation in Gaza was aggravating extremely every day.

Talking to media on the occasion to express solidarity with the innocent Palestinians at Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce Industry(RCCI), she said that war crimes were being committed in Palestine and hospitals were bombarded with heavy weapons resulting deaths of children, women and innocent people which was sheer violations of human rights protocols.

Condemning the Israeli’ atrocities and silence of world leaders, she said “At this crucial moment, we stand with our people in solidarity, compassion, and hope. We understand the hardships and struggles they are facing we want to offer our support and encouragement to our people.”

Mushaal Mullick also condemned the unrelieved Israel’s slaughters, oppression and siege of the Gaza Strip, resulting in a grave humanitarian tragedy.

She said that the people of Pakistan and Kashmir expressed their unwavering support for the people of Palestine. “We demand an immediate cessation of indiscriminate bombings, immediate lifting of siege in Gaza, and an adherence to International laws and Geneva conventions to ensure protection of civilians especially in conflict zones.”

She also called upon the international community to acknowledge the critical human rights violations in Gaza and advocate for the establishment of an immediate Humanitarian Corridor to ensure essential medical and food supplies reach those in dire need in Gaza, emphasizing the importance of global intervention and collaboration in reaching an immediate ceasefire and resolution of the Palestinian issue.

A resolution was also adopted unanimously for the condemnation of atrocities and human rights violations by Israel in Palestine. The participants demanded the world powers, UN and OIC to play their role in resolving the conflict, permanent peace and humanitarian aid for Palestine.

“In this difficult time, our Muslim brothers and sisters in Palestine are not alone,” remarked RCCI President Saqib Rafiq. “We stand behind them in firm support for peace, justice, and a better future”, he added.

Earlier, a walk was also carried out from Chamber House to the Gymkhana club. The rally participants including Chamber members, Trade Associations, women members and students from various institutes carrying placards, banners and Palestinian flags chanted vociferous slogans against Israel and in favor of Palestinian brethren.
