PHC approves transit bail of PTI’s Aslam Iqbal

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Wednesday accepted the transit bail application of PTI nominee for the Punjab chief minister slot Mian Aslam Iqbal. 

His lawyer Shah Faisal Utmankhel said that he had filed the bail plea in 19 cases registered against Iqbal.

Later speaking to the media, Iqbal said that there was no CCTV camera footage or an audio call, which could show that he was involved in the May 9 violence.

He said that for the PTI all state institutions were its own, and the party leaders and workers were peaceful citizens of the country.

He said that he was thankful to the PHC judges for granting him bail.

The PTI leader said that he was a political worker, and had never said anything against his conscience.
