PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Thursday ordered cellular companies to shift mobile towers from residential areas.
During hearing, Justice Qaiser Rashid remarked that mobile towers emitting dangerous radiations which are badly affecting human health and causes different diseases.
During hearing Justice Qaiser Rashid ordered to removes mobile towers from nearby residential, Masjid and schools areas. Justice Qaiser Rashid remarked that nothing is precious than human life.
The representatives from both side cellular companies and environment department appeared before honorable court in person due to lawyer’s strike. The lawyers’ have been continuing strike since January, 8, which has affected delivery of judicial services badly.
The mobile towers emitting hazardous radiations which is dangerous for both human life and for environment.
The representative of environment department informed PHC that the department is updating list for removal mobile towers from residential areas.
The two-member bench comprising of Justice Qaiser Rashid and Justice Abdul Shakoor heard the petition and had adjourned further hearing till February, 22.
